Cellist Ayoun Alexandra Kim’s awards include the 2022 Yamaha Young Performing Artist Competition, Artist Presentation Society Competition, and the Farwell Trust Prize from the Musicians Club of Women Competition.

Ayoun received her bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School in 2020 and is continuing her studies at Juilliard for her master’s degree under the tutelage of Natasha Brofsky and Astrid Schween. Ayoun’s festival appearances include Sarasota Music Festival, Kneisel Hall, Orford Academy, AlpenKammerMusik, Verão Classico, and the Sommerakademie Mozarteum.

As a board member of the K.A. Butterfly Team, she is an active supporter of ‘comfort women’ and has produced several of the team's benefit concerts in the Chicago area since 2018. Passionate about sharing music outside of the concert halls, she is a Morse Teaching Artist Fellow at Juilliard to contribute to making classical music more accessible.
